Los Angeles based lawyer John M. Pierce confirmed will be pulling back from the teenager’s defense and attorney Mark Richards will now be representing Rittenhouse in the criminal trial.

Pierce said he will instead be focusing on raising money for the defense team.

Pierce, along with Rittenhouse‘s fellow attorney Lin Wood, were able to raise the $2m needed to post the teenager’s bail following a successful fundraising campaign.

Rittenhouse has preliminary hearing Thursday on Kenosha charges

A Kenosha County Circuit Court Commissioner ruled there’s enough evidence for a trial for 17-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse, who’s charged with fatally shooting two men.

KENOSHA, Wis. — There is enough evidence to warrant a trial for an Illinois 17-year-old accused of killing two men and wounding a third during a night of unrest in Wisconsin, a court commissioner ruled Thursday after a contentious hearing in which the defendant’s lawyer tried to show he had acted in self-defense.

Kyle Rittenhouse, of Antioch, Illinois, is charged with homicide and attempted homicide for the Aug. 25 fatal shootings of Joseph Rosenbaum and Anthony Huber and the wounding of Gaige Grosskreutz during a night of unrest two days after the police shooting in Kenosha of Jacob Blake, a local Black man.

During a preliminary hearing conducted via video, Kenosha County Circuit Court Commissioner Loren Keating found that there was enough probable cause for the

Kenosha Shooter Kyle Rittenhouse’s Lawyer Urges Trump Fans to ‘Dust Off’ Gun Rights

The lawyer for Kenosha shooter Kyle Rittenhouse is on a Twitter tear again—this time, urging supporters to “dust off those Second Amendment rights” and not let China “steal” the election from lame-duck President Trump.

“Time to dust off those Second Amendment rights. Founders put it there for a very specific reason,” attorney John Pierce tweeted Wednesday night.

In another tweet, Pierce wrote, “Trump won in a landslide. The triad of Big Tech, mainstream media and the CCP is trying to steal it. Obvious. Do not let them. Do not give an inch. Fight over every single hedgerow. Nothing less than our freedom hangs in the balance.” The post included hashtags: #FightBack, #TrumpWon and #1775.

Pierce then shared an image of Washington Crossing the Delaware—an oil painting commemorating General George Washington and the Continental Army in the American Revolutionary War—with the words: “All combat takes place at night.”

“This is Kenosha. Not a ton of votes, but here’s the point to be made here. Law and order … you saw the protests in Kenosha. You saw the rioting and the looting. The president, at the moment, is turning 2-1 over Joe Biden,” Hemmer said Tuesday evening.

“He’s going to easily win this county,” Hemmer said, referring to Trump. “It’s not a ton of votes, but it’s a point to be made about the message that he has carried to the Upper Midwest.”

Trump returns to Kenosha with a familiar message about law and order and turning the corner on COVID

On his final day of campaigning, President Trump returned to Kenosha, Wis., a city that had provided him with a backdrop to push his message that the election was about “law and order” in the face of the Biden campaign’s effort to make it about the administration’s bungling of the coronavirus pandemic.

“Hello Kenosha, it’s nice to be back. It’s nice to be back,” Trump said at an outdoor rally, where the sound system was plagued by feedback. “We spent a little time with you, a little law and order. We brought law and order to Kenosha.”

Switching microphones, Trump gave his version of the events that unfolded in the city late this summer. “When the violent mob came to Kenosha, Biden opposed sending in the National Guard,” Trump said, adding,
